The Breakfast Club
Saturday, 22 November 2014
Well well well, The Breakfast Club have definitely won themselves another loving customer and I'm officially jealous of my sister and her boyfriend living 10 minutes from this wonderful place of all things yummy. They may possibly have earnt themselves a permanent weekend houseguest. I'm even willing to deal with sleeping on a sofa if it means I get to eat all sorts of brunch-y goodness the next day.
After waking up a million times in the night (I wonder if my stomach knew what was coming.) I officially gave up on sleep at around 8:30am and awoke Lauren and Sean like it was Christmas morning, which well, it might as well have been. After a discussion about where my first London brunch experience should be, my mind was made up, The Breakfast Club it would be. Of course we got there at prime brunch eating time and Sean was not impressed at the prospect of queuing, so we sent him off to Borough Market in search of doughnuts, he failed! 25 minutes later we were in and taking note of all the items on the menu. After some serious deliberation we concluded that it was too difficult to choose between sweet and savoury, so we ordered a bit of both. A full English for me, which I have to say was incredible-the bacon was even perfectly crispy. A full american for Sean and Eggs Menadick for Lauren, yes it arrived shaped like a penis (It's a charity thing, honest.)
Followed by a jaw droppingly delicious stack of pancakes and we were well and truly stuffed for the rest of the day. Thanks for having us breakfast club, we had a great time!
My chocolate workshop
Friday, 16 May 2014
The night was full of activities and festivities; bubbles, crazy strong chocolate martini's, flavouring chocolate, making and dipping fudge and truffles and tasting chocolate from around the world.
3 hours of pure indulgence and fun. It helps that we had a very amusing Canadian instructor too. Being the biggest chocoholic I know, I have to tell you how much fun it was, and even better was that we got to bring a bag of goodies home to share (or eat ourselves, *stuffs face*) and I definitely recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth.

Girls night in

Also, how cute are the tubs and bottles?! I am obsessed with the cutesy picnic type look and these mini bottles are too cute- not the most practical but still. I <3 the idea. Bottles full of appletiser and tubs full of treats, we were set to chat away for hours, and that we did. I have to admit, I went a little overboard with the food, there were only 3 of us haha! But it certainly didn't go to waste.
A long lay in didn't go a miss this morning and when I eventually dragged myself from the realms of semi consciousness I made the above. It was a perfect Sunday morning breakfast!

A few snaps from the last couple of months. As much I love Instagram I don't have an interesting enough life to be able to do this sort of post weekly so I think it may be a monthly affair instead. As you can see, 90% of my photos are of food! and that probably won't change very much. I do love food. I do have some exciting plans coming up soon though, so the next couple of round ups should be a little more interesting!
Check back soon!

Time out
Friday, 4 October 2013
You simply can't have a cosy night in without a burning fire and cuddly slippers. These slipper boots are from Matalan and I have a feeling I may buy these to replace my tatty old ones that I currently have.Cold nights in should always include comfort food, and my ultimate 'sit in front of the tv and do a whole lot of nothing' food is...m&m's. I will happily sit and eat them all evening - and I quite often do. Going on from these tasty morsels, what better way to eat them than in front of a rom-com? I haven't yet seen I give it a year, but I have ordered it ready for when I finally get around to having a night to myself. Painting my nails is one of the first things I think about doing when I have time to spare. I am obsessed with nail art and it is very rare that you'll spot me with just one plain ol' colour on. I don't actually have any clue what brand these are (the image is from google) but I thought it looked cool, and I wasn't going to waste any of my colours re-creating it!
What items make the perfect night in for you?

Risotto recipe
Sunday, 27 January 2013
I have a recipe post that isn't to do with baking today, crazy!
Last night I made risotto for Jake, he had never had it before so it was comforting to know that he wouldn't of had a clue if it went wrong. Fortunately, it didn't go terribly, I was actually quite proud.
Ingredients
As much chorizo as you like, I used about 150g, slice it thinly.
Risotto rice, 1/2 cup per person
1 large glass of white wine
Baby tomatoes
2 sweet potatoes
Vegetable stock
1 red onion
2 cloves garlic
Olive oil
Butter
Balsamic vinegar
Your sweet potato and tomatoes should be done by now, stir them in and add a knob of butter, stir and then leave to rest for a few minutes. Serve how you like, salad/bread works well, season to taste.
Enjoy!

Sophisticated?
Sunday, 11 November 2012
Hey guys!
So today I went for brunch with a friend who's back from uni for the weekend. Brunch to me sounds sophisticated. But believe me, we are far from it ha! She's one of my fave girlies and eating food is a favourite hobby of ours. Best way to bond!
After a final chat over a Costa hot chocolate it was time to say goodbye again until Christmas :(. Have you ever been to Giraffe? What's your favourite menu item?

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY...well it was on Wednesday
Wednesday, 17 October 2012
So, in case you didn't guess from the title. It was my birthday the other day! I thought I'd share my day with you because I was spoilt!
I was awoken at about 8 with cards and presents, and as you can see from the pictures, they were very good presents! My mum and dad got me an iPad (which I am currently writing this post on). Speaking of which. Do any if you guys blog on your iPads?
Lauren got me a new make-up bag.
Jake (the boyfriend) got me a purse, scarf/snood, necklace, giant Millie's cookie and has ordered me a case for my gorgeous iPad. I also got money and such from various family members and the boyfriends parents.
So all in all I was spoilt with pressies!
Because I'm extremely lazy, I spent the day lounging around with Jake and Lauren drinking tea and eating cookie.
In the evening we headed to the beefeater for dinner because I was in the mood for some massively unhealthy stuffed potato skins etc.
Now here's for the bit I like most. Pictures!
